The NEOVA TCA chemical peel is a powerful treatment designed to improve skin texture, reduce pigmentation, and reveal brighter, smoother skin.
What is NEOVA TCA?
NEOVA TCA is a line of chemical peels that utilizes a blend of acids, including TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid), mandelic acid, lactic acid, ascorbic acid, azelaic acid, and salicylic acid, as key ingredients. These ingredients work together to exfoliate your skin, boost cell turnover, support collagen, and improve dull and uneven skin tone.
NEOVA TCA chemical peels are performed in a controlled setting by Dr. Falcon at Falcon Plastic Surgery to ensure safety and optimal results. The peel can be customized with 1-3 passes depending on individual needs. Preparation for a TCA peel may include a skin prep kit to ensure optimal results.
NEOVA Peel Types
Superficial Peels
The lowest intensity peel, superficial peels focus on the surface layer of the skin. The results are instantaneous and often provide enhanced smoothing and brightening. Since these peels focus on the surface layers, they are best suited to mild concerns such as minimal pigmentation, scarring, beginning signs of aging, or dry skin.
Medium-Depth TCA Peels
Slightly more intense than the superficial peel, medium-depth peels have an advanced capability of being used alone or in combination with other treatments. Because these peels are slightly more customizable, it may take some results longer to appear than others. Regardless, medium-depth peels are ideal for moderate concerns of hyperpigmentation or wrinkles.
Deep Peels
Deep peels are a less popular option but offer the most transformative results. Patients who undergo a deep peel treatment typically have severe wrinkling or pigmentation concerns and will need to prepare for a longer recovery period, as the outer layer of skin is removed. However, the benefits, including much smoother skin) from a deep peel tend to also be longer lasting.

Who is a Candidate for NEOVA TCA?
Candidates for NEOVA TCA typically include individuals who are looking to address specific skin issues, such as:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Hyperpigmentation (dark spots, sun damage, and uneven skin tone)
- Dull or rough skin
- Acne (clogged pores, inflammation, and blackheads)
- Uneven skin texture (acne scarring or environmental damage)
Recovery from NEOVA TCA
Recovery from NEOVA TCA varies depending on the individual’s skin type, the concentration of the peel, and the specific concerns being addressed. Immediately following the treatment, patients may experience some redness, irritation, and mild peeling as the skin undergoes the exfoliation process. However, these side effects are typically temporary and can be managed with proper post-treatment care.
Hydration and high SPF are a must from the first day after the NEOVA TCA treatment. Using a high SPF protects the skin from sun damage and supports optimal healing, while keeping the skin well-hydrated, which helps reduce irritation and promotes recovery.
In the days following the treatment, it’s important to avoid sun exposure and harsh skincare products that could further irritate the skin. Patients should also avoid makeup and exfoliation. Flaking typically starts around the mouth and nose a few days after the NEOVA TCA treatment. Patients are advised not to touch, peel, or scrub the skin during the recovery process.
Most patients can resume their normal skincare routine within a few days to a week after undergoing NEOVA TCA.
NEOVA TCA Results
The results you see from the NEOVA TCO peel can depend on the depth of the peel. That said, most patients begin to notice positive changes within the first week. With the lighter peel, results can be more immediate, with the superficial peel providing enhanced smoothing and brightening almost instantly
For the stronger NEOVA TCA formulations, the skin will typically go through a peeling or flaking phase in the days following treatment, and results generally show within a week, with the full benefits becoming visible over the next few weeks as the skin continues to heal and regenerate.
It’s important to remember that even when visible peeling is minimal, the skin is still undergoing renewal at a cellular level, so results are happening beneath the surface even if you can’t see them right away. Collagen remodeling also continues for weeks after the treatment, meaning the skin can look progressively better over the following month.
